Position Overview:

As a Christian Counselor, you play a crucial role in integrating faith-based principles with professional counseling techniques to provide holistic care for our dancers facing various mental, emotional, and relational challenges. Your role is to support our dancers in their journey towards healing, personal growth, and spiritual development. THIS IS A PART TIME POSITION.

Responsibilities:

- Perform comprehensive assessments to understand dancers' mental health concerns, personal history, and goals for therapy.

- Collaborate with dancers to create personalized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs, incorporating evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions.

- Incorporate biblical wisdom, and prayer into therapy sessions to provide spiritual guidance, comfort, and support.

- Offer individual counseling sessions to address a wide range of psychological issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship conflicts, addiction, and more.

- Create a safe, confidential, and empathetic environment where dancers feel comfortable expressing their thoughts, feelings, concerns, exploring their faith, sharing their struggles, and experience God's grace and healing presence.

- Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities and techniques as appropriate.

- Regularly assess dancers' progress in therapy, adjust treatment plans as needed, and provide ongoing support and encouragement.

- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of dancer assessments, treatment plans, session notes, and progress reports in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

- Submit non-client specific prayer points.

- Stay current with developments in the field of mental health through continuing education, workshops, seminars, and professional literature.

- Adhere to ethical guidelines and standards of practice set forth by professional organizations such as the American Counseling Association (ACA), American Psychological Association (APA), or relevant regulatory bodies.

Qualifications:

- Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field.

- State licensure or certification as a therapist (requirements vary by jurisdiction).

- Clinical experience in providing therapy to diverse populations.

- Strong communication, interpersonal, and empathy skills.

- Demonstrated integration of Christian faith with professional counseling skills.

- Ability to establish rapport and build trust with clients.

- Knowledge of ethical and legal standards governing mental health practice.

- Experience with teletherapy or online counseling platforms.

Working Conditions:

- Work hours may vary, including evenings to accommodate clients' schedules.

- Counseling sessions will be conducted remotely via video conferencing platforms.
