Position Overview:

As a Greeter for Alabaster Nights, you will serve as the first point of contact for attendees, embodying warmth, humility, and kindness to create a welcoming atmosphere. Greeters play a vital role in ensuring that all participants feel valued, supported, and guided throughout the event.

Responsibilities:

1. Welcome attendees with genuine warmth and hospitality as they arrive at the event venue.

2. Provide clear directions and assistance to attendees regarding event registration, seating, facilities, and other inquiries.

3. Engage attendees in friendly conversation and offer support as needed, ensuring a positive experience for all.

4. Assist in the check-in process by verifying attendee registrations, distributing event materials, and managing attendee lists.

5. Assist in registering walk-ins and guiding them through the appropriate forms.

6. Collaborate with event organizers and other volunteers to address any logistical challenges or issues that may arise.

7. Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor at all times, representing Alabaster Nights with integrity and grace.

8. Attend pre-event meetings, briefings and training sessions leading up to the event, and day as required to familiarize yourself with event logistics, protocols, and safety procedures.

9. Contribute to the overall success and smooth operation of the event.

10. Demonstrate a commitment to upholding the values and mission of Free Them Studios and Alabaster Nights, fostering a welcoming environment for all participants.

Qualifications:

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with diverse groups of people.

• Friendly, outgoing, and approachable demeanor, with a genuine desire to make others feel welcome and valued.

• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to remain calm, courteous, and professional in high-pressure situations.

• Reliable and punctual, with the flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and meet the needs of the event.

• Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or volunteer work is preferred but not required.

• Alignment with the mission and values of Free Them Studios and Alabaster Nights, including a commitment to fostering community engagement through the worship of Jesus and fellowship.

Time Commitment:

• Greeters are expected to arrive at the event venue at least 30 minutes before the start of the event and remain until all attendees have been welcomed and assisted.

• The time commitment may vary depending on the duration and scheduling of the event, typically ranging from 2-6 hours per event.
